CVjoint conversion
The next step in upgrading the GT6 is the replacement of the rotoflex couplings by modern CV-joints. At the moment I nearly sorted out all the required bits to do the conversion. Only the special made adaptors and bearings have to come in. Also the uprights need to be machined to fit the bigger bearings. Whilst doing this conversion I also fit a new (recon) diff. I have a spare 3.89 lying around which will be recondishioned soon. The propshaft will be balanced too. After all this being done, the GT6 hopefully drives like new. At the moment it's very noisy at higher speeds due to lots of unbalanced bits in the drivetrain. RBRR here we come!
