Got myself a Garmin GPS unit. I will use it as a tripmeter on rallies. Tried it out and it seems to work very well. There are several datafields which all can give different information. (like tripdistance, total dist, (average) speed, altitude etc etc). You can program maps to backtrace the trip you've done. It's also a compass and calendar! Think this is a very usefull gadget and worth every penny. It's even cheaper than the traditional tripmeter. We'll see how it works out on the next week rally.
